Mezan is a collection of single-distillery rums from various countries in the Caribbean. This rum was produced at an undisclosed distillery in Panama, which grows its own sugarcane and cultivates its own yeast cultures. It is processed in column-stills, then aged in two separate stages in ex-bourbon casks before blending.
This dark and concentrated rum has a soft, sugary sweetness that dials up on the palate into the burnt caramel realm. Roasted toffee and coffee flavors are tempered by sage and rosemary. Further sips reveal tangy apricot, papaya, and tart orange mixing with the sweet and savory notes.
